Welcome to one of Santa Barbara's Oldest Scouting Troop
Scouting builds character. When you enter scouting as young boy you can barely look after yourself, but by the time you graduate you've not only learned how to take care of yourself but of the importance of looking after of one another.

Former Life Scouts Justin Islen and Christian Maurer (aka Shriner) never lost the love of wilderness they developed when they joined the troop in 1992. So this Summer they dusted off some of their wilderness skills (and gear) and headed up to Mt. Whitney for a great three day trip. Cold and clear high altitude lakes are breathtaking and the glory of the summit was great but glissading down the chute was definitely the highlight. More pictures to come

Nice Site hope to see more pics up. Im currently enjoying the wilderness of Sweden doing a lot of Cross-Country skiing, hiking and built an igloo and more. Hope all is good.
